Every spring, Norco Horseweek brings Riverside County together for a celebration of our equestrian roots. From April 25 to May 4, 2025, riders and spectators descend upon the town, embracing Norco’s reputation as “Horsetown USA.” The festival’s lineup includes rodeo competitions, live music, delicious food, and good ol’ Western festivities. It’s the perfect chance to dust off your boots and join in on the traditions that keep Riverside County’s cowboy spirit alive.
Norco Horsweek: Rodeos, Races, and Roughstock
Horseweek kicks off with the Extreme Ranch Rodeo on Friday, April 25 at Ingalls Event Center. Gates open at 5:00 PM, with the rodeo starting at 7:00 PM, followed by the KFROG After Party. If you’ve never been to a ranch rodeo before, get ready for cowboys and cowgirls showing off their roping, sorting, and cattle-handling skills.
Saturday night, catch the Extreme Ranch Rodeo Finals, plus Lawn Mower Races! On Sunday, April 27, it’s Extreme Bull Riding at 3:30 PM, where fearless riders go head-to-head with some of the toughest bulls around. The best part? Kids 12 and under get in free!
Don’t Miss the Horsweek Parade
No Western celebration is complete without an old-fashioned parade, and the Norco Horseweek Parade is one you don’t want to miss. On Saturday, April 26, at 10:00 AM, the streets of Norco will be packed with fans cheering on floats, horseback riders, and local marching bands as they make their way down 6th Street.
Activities and Family-Friendly Fun at Norco Horseweek
There’s plenty for kids and families to enjoy all week long. On Sunday, April 27, at 12:00 PM, the Challenged Children's Rodeo gives kids with special needs the chance to experience the excitement of rodeo in a fun and supportive setting.
Not a rider? No problem. There are plenty of other ways to compete (or just sit back and enjoy). On Monday, April 28, at Nellie Weaver Hall, the Chili Cook-Off & Beard Contest will crown the best chili and most impressive beard in town, with live music and a kids' dance contest adding to the fun.
Head to Pikes Peak Park for a full night of activities on Tuesday, April 29 and try your luck in the Horseshoe Pitch & Cornhole Tournament. Then, grab a bite at the Quarter Dip, where you can enjoy a buffet-style spread of home-cooked meals and local restaurant favorites planned specifically for Norco Horseweek!
For the chance to win prizes and, of course, bragging rights, participate in the Obstacle Course Competition on Thursday, May 1. Sign up early to secure your spot!
And on Sunday, May 4, Kids Fun Day brings a lineup of horseback games like Ring Toss, Potato Race, Egg & Spoon, and Barrels. Entry is just $5 per event or $20 for unlimited access, giving young cowboys and cowgirls a chance to test their skills and have a blast in the saddle!
Evening Entertainment & Competitions at Norco Horseweek
When the sun goes down, the fun keeps going with live music, competitions, and plenty of food and drinks. Adult Fun Night on Friday, May 2, kicks things off with potato races, hangman, and relay team races. Plus, the Norco Food Truck Festival goes on all evening!
If you’re feeling lucky, the Texas Hold’em Tournament on Saturday, May 3, is your chance to go all in and win big. That same day, riders can saddle up for the Poker Ride, where they can explore Norco on horseback while collecting cards at different stops along the way to see who has the winning hand at the end.
To cap of the week’s festivities, Ladies Night on May 3 brings music, drinks, and friendly competition (gals only!) with events like the Noodle Race and Xtreme Barrels.
